Ex-pro drummer getting back into the biz after a twenty year hiatus. I'm one of those old road drummers who started out in the seventies playing the "arena rock" stuff like Zep and Deep Purple. But we also got into all the "art rock" groups like Genesis, Yes, Kansas and Floyd. I love stuff like Queensryche and Dream Theater....but I also like the power pop stuff like STP, Green Day, Foo Fighters, etc. Not too interested in speed metal (I'm too old for that stuff anyhow).....and I have ZERO interest in country music. I am not interested in being a human metronome for ego-maniac, Jimi Hendrix wannabes who want to do twenty minute guitar solos. I am a musician first....a drummer second. I have excellent meter, tempo and dynamics...I really play close attention to that stuff.....fundamentals first...then the flash. I am anxious to get out and play the clubs again. Looking for solid, experienced players only.
