MORE ABOUT HOPE AYERS
Hope began singing at the tender age of 7 at the Union Baptist Church in Denver Colorado. She grew up with African, jazz, blues, gospel music and dance influences from her family. She was always taught to remember her roots and to be proud of who she is. Hope later began singing at weddings, anniversary functions and funerals. Later she became a singer with the newly formed group the Penny Singers, formed by Phil and Silvia Penny who were one of the renowned gospel singing groups in the Denver metropolitan areas for 15 years.
In 1996 Hope was featured as one of the premiere soloist on the GMWA-The Women of Worship Album “Order My Steps”, singing soloist for “God will fix it just for you”. In 1997, Hope moved to Los Angeles with her family to start a new life and took a hiatus to raise her family. In 2004, Hope was invited to do a gospel tour in Europe with the gospel group 4Real under the management of Backheads Music GMBH. She later returned to perform again in 2006-2007 for the Soul/Funk European Tour, also under Backheads Music and has continued to perform the tour through 2014. Hope is also a proud part of the Backhead’s new 2014-2017 Tribute Production “Motown and Soul”.
Hope is also the lead singer for the blues band “Lucky Lloyd and The Blues Shockers”, in the great city of Los Los Angeles. It is Hopes desire to continue to sing across the globe and share her gift with as many wonderful people as possible.
