SEEKING
Band to Join.ABOUT
Self-taught bassist and vocalist, Madison native. I come from a musical family, but for a long time was the "non-musician" one. In recent years, I've really picked up the bass guitar, and I've always really enjoyed singing. I'm mostly looking for experience in a band, gigging, and just generally experience what it's like to be a musician! I'm your guy if you're looking for a competent - if a little inexperienced - bassist, a person who is really easy to get along with, and someone who is eager to learn from more experienced musicians like a sponge. I'm someone who knows the role of a bass is as a supporting instrument to make everyone else shine, and while I might not be able to shred on the bass like a Thundercat I know how to keep up rhythmically with consistent tempo, know my basic root-3rd-5th patterns, scales, etc. I have solid bass fundamentals and muting technique; my focus when learning was to learn "the right way" the first time! Vocally, I'm decent but nothing incredible, similar range to an Elton John, a Billy Joel, or an Orville Peck.
