ABOUT

I play a few things. I love guitar/ukulele and vocals more than any other instrument I play but I'd be glad to play any instrument I can in a band.

Aside from that, I write music (usually in a pop punk or folky sort of sound, but I'm open to other ideas), play a few instruments, and have some knowledge in music theory; I have two associate degrees in essentially general studies, but the majority of my coursework was in music, so I have decent knowledge, I'd hope. I have some background in graphic design, as I started a multimedia arts degree (but didn't actually finish it), and both my partner and my best friend are studying digital media, so we're more than covered on that front.

As I know messaging isn't free here on Bandmix, feel free to message on : actually.atlas273, and just let me know you're from here.

... Okay, now for what I'm like as a person. Music is kinda my life. I have ADHD so I'm probably going to be a little on the annoying side at times, especially in relation to music, because I love it so much. I'm hella fat at the moment, and it's out of my control, but my docs and I are working on managing that, so while I'll probably never be stick-thin...
Doesn't matter. I'm pretty mobile, I can lift things (when my pain issue isn't acting up), and I'm surprisingly energetic despite my size. It's more aesthetic than anything.
Oh, and also, I'm queer! My pronouns are they/them. You do not have to be queer, but I do ask that you're respectful of me in that realm.

... Okay, I think that's all the major sh*t! If you're still reading, track me down and message me! I need to make some music this summer!

Influences

The music I love is:
-Nirvana
-Linkin Park
-Soundgarden
-Beartooth
-My Chemical Romance
-Eminem
-Rage Against The Machine

The music I want to make sounds like:
-Waterparks
-Nirvana
-Mainstream-era Twenty-One Pilots where they had a sound but not really a genre? Like they were distinctive but genre-hopping at times.
-State Champs

The music I currently make sounds like:
-The acoustic/folky versions of the bands above, if they were a solo artist that could use another semester or two of choir just as a bonus.
... I'll share some stuff soon.

EQUIPMENT

Epiphone DC Pro guitar, new and frickin' beautiful for the price.
Epiphone Viola Bass,
Epiphone Hummingbird acoustic-electric guitar
Vocal chords given at birth (hoping to level up soon lol)
Mitchell Ukulele
Brandless drumset I got off OfferUp in 2015 that really needs new cymbals and a better snare but I'm more likely to just completely replace because the amount of work and upgrading it needs just ain't worth it chief. But it's playable for now.

BOSS Katana 50
A huge Peavey bass amp that has no business being so big and heavy.
One of those mini battery-powered portable amps.
A few types of distortion/fuzz pedals and one new chorus pedal that makes my DC Pro/Katana combo sound like "Nothing Else Matters" Metallica kind of.
