ABOUT

I'm a metalhead at heart. I grew up listening to classic rock staples from early childhood. In my early teens I turned my interest to heavy metal, which deepened when I got my first guitar. My life-long best friend and I started a band when we were 16 with a few of our close friends. We wrote several songs and recorded a demo, and then a better demo the following year, both of which were recorded in a professional studio - on our dime, of course. We stuck together for a few years and played a few gigs here and there, but eventually life took over as it tends to do and we mostly went our separate ways. I was always into home recording, so I continued writing and recording original songs, mostly instrumentals. When I was about 20, I started really getting into early to mid century blues and some jazz. In the past several years I've been working on blues albums, mostly for my own amusement and to gain experience with the various facets of writing and recording. In this last year my wife and I had a son, so my music has been on the back burner, but I'm looking to get back into some projects of my own and possibly some collaborations. I'm open to just about anything. Though I have been reviving my metal chops in recent months and working with drum machines in order to have beats worthy of a good metal jam.
