ABOUT

I am an electric bassist looking to join or start a rock, metal, or funk band (kind of a weird variety, I know). I'm in my early 20s and I started teaching myself how to play when I was 16. I played tuba before that and continued with both instruments until I recently graduated college with a minor in music.

I've played in several bands the past couple years: a blues/classic rock band I helped start; a worship band I joined on campus, just to join a band; several bands in high school and college with my tuba; and a pop/rock band that was started solely to open for the band "Neon Trees" at a local concert.

I'm not a huge fan of screamos (some exceptions seen in the influences listed), but I can enjoy a well-placed, tasteful scream.

I'm happy to drive to a venue or building to practice and jam, but cannot host anything where I live. I'd say I'm an intermediate-level bassist; I can play fingerstyle, a bit of slapping, and some pick. I actually ENJOY practicing as well, so no fear that I won't learn my parts.

Ideally, I would like to find a cohesive and friendly group who have a good time playing together. I'd be happy playing most any genre, but would prefer the ones I listed.
