My name is Jacob Presnall and I am from Huntsville, Alabama. I am a graduate of Buckhorn High School in New Market, Alabama, where I was a member of the Award-Winning Marching Band, Jazz Band and Percussion Ensemble. I also was a member of the Buckhorn High School Advanced Choir, Men’s Choir and Musical Theater. After high school, I began performing at local area churches in the city of Huntsville and Tennessee Valley including the Jackson Way Baptist Church in Huntsville and Highland Baptist Church in Florence. I currently hold the position of Principal Timpanist for the Whitesburg Baptist Church Celebration Orchestra. As an active orchestra member, I performed regularly at annual holiday events including the Hanging of the Green Christmas Student Choir production, Winterlude Christmas Piano Ensemble Concert and I Love America Fourth of July production, as well as many other special worship concerts. I also had the privilege of getting to perform for notable Christian Contemporary Music Singer-Songwriters including Keith & Kristyn Getty, Travis Cottrell and Regi Stone. I have a Bachelors of Arts in Music from the University of North Alabama, where I was a member of the world-renowned University of North Alabama “Pride of Dixie Marching Band as a member of their front ensemble, Percussion Ensemble, Percussion and Composition Studios and Shoals Symphony at UNA, where I served two seasons as Principal Timpanist. During my time at UNA, I studied under a number of world class instructors in the fields of Percussion and Composition including Dr. Iain Moyer, Dr. Tracy Wiggins and Mr. Samuel Merciers. As a composer/ arranger, I have composed and arranged numerous pieces ranging from solo Percussion to full orchestra.
