ABOUT

Hi! My name is Jake. I’ve been playing music since I was eight years old. I started off playing the saxophone in symphonic band in middle school and jazz band in high school. I performed numerous times during this period.

Around the time I turned 18, I started listening to a lot of bands/artists such as Jimi Hendrix, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Green Day, and Metallica. All of whom inspired me to pick up guitar and bass. Subsequently, I joined two different bands. The first of which was very experimental where I played saxophone, guitar and bass. I was in this band for about 5 years. During this time, we released a full-length studio album. The second band was a metal band where I mostly did rhythm guitar (with some leads) and vocals. I was in this band for about a year, and we did studio recording during this time. As of writing this, they haven’t released the album yet, but the plan is to release it sometime within a year.

This is the band I’ve had the most fun and best dynamic with so far. Unfortunately, I recently had to quit because of a job I got here in Georgia (I’m originally from out of state).

Right now, I’m looking for someone to jam and maybe start a band with. I work full time during the week, so weekends would be best for me.

I consider myself a friendly and outgoing guy. Although there’s always room for improvement, I consider myself fairly proficient in the instruments I play. I look forward to meeting and jamming with you!

Influences

Jimi Hendrix, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Green Day, Motörhead, Metallica, Exodus, and Black Sabbath are my biggest influences. All of these bands got me into playing guitar and bass.
