ABOUT

I'm a 49-year old guitarist, classically trained as a violinist from age 4 to 18, a guitarist since age 12.

Live performance and improvisation are my strong points - I can solo live and be tasteful, technically adept, and fast all at the same time.

I'm well versed in music theory, have a very strong ear/perfect pitch, understand modes, polytonal chords, all that fun stuff. I've been in jazz bands, reggae bands, thrash bands, punk bands, classic rock/southern rock bands... I love all guitar music and love to be a part of bands that incorporate guitar as part of their framework. I am also a solid bass player and have no problems being part of a rhythm section.

I check my ego at the door, and know when to NOT play and let others shine, as well as when it's my turn to crush it in the spotlight. I'm a team player, I don't flake or show up late, don't have substance problems, and try to be lighthearted while still being a consummate professional.
