Hey guys, my names Kevin, I'm a freshman at wvu studying vocal performance and I'm really interested in starting a band. I sing, play guitar and drums fairly proficiently, but I am looking for instrumentalists in this case. I'd love to have a sound much like early RHCP when they were still funky, mixed with a lotta jam bands (String Cheese, Umphrey's, Toubab Krewe, Dead, anything cool), with possibly some electronic effects but mostly live instruments. I am fairly experienced with performing as I have been in multiple bands before but I would like to get to a point where we can play at some local venues and possibly festivals. I live in a dorm this year so I obviously don't have a drumset so our drummer would need to have a set at his house or a warehouse. hmm I'm a very easy to get along with guy and I'll give anyone a chance, for audition sake, prepare a song or part of a song that you'd consider something you're good at, and be prepared to possibly jam (improvisation skills are a must). I could care less about theory skills, as long as you can play your instrument. I don't care what age you are, and I'm down with partying and getting trippy but please, no one into anything too heavy, addicts just mess stuff up y'know? haha anyway I'm looking for people who can play anything, from guitar to banjo to trombone to cajon, but I would like to have a solid drummer, bassist, and at least one guitarist.
