I began writing lyrics after I graduated from Illinois State University.The lyrics began as poems, just a way of noting the stories and experiences I'd had with some of the people that crossed my path. I couldn't play an instrument, and I had no luck convincing local musicians to help me compose the music to my songs. So I bought some computer software,took piano, guitar, and drum lessons and
taught myself to compose.

To date, I've written the lyrics to nearly 70 songs, including 9 complete compositions. The best part of it is hearing them come life after being closed up inside my notebooks for so many years. I'd love to have my songs recorded and performed by artists affiliated with major labels. And if you're reading these words, maybe it will happen.
