Kinda Sorta

ABOUT

Kinda Sorta is a Georgetown, TX based band comprised of Carla Coleman (keyboards, vocals, songwriting), Danny Coleman (bass, vocals, songwriting), Jeff Hoffman (guitar, vocals, songwriting) and Jeff Spencer (percussion, vocals).

We are experienced, seasoned, older musicians with backgrounds in genres including rock, jazz, blues, folk, Americana, classical, reggae, etc. Our music is all original and incorporates these diverse genres.

We're very easygoing, down-to-earth people. We're not interested in touring (been there, done that) or late-night bar gigs (been there, done that). Coffee houses, wineries, breweries, listening rooms, etc. are more our speed. Our goal is to play out once or twice a month and also continue recording our music. We're all retired from our day jobs and not in it for money, but for the joy of creating and performing music.

Carla and Danny relocated from Seattle, where they performed at various venues and had some local radio airplay. Jeff Hoffman has been playing locally for the last few years in the band Almost Austin. Until recently, Jeff Spencer played in the Austin band Half Baked.

Although we're fully functional and gigging as a quartet, we might consider adding a fifth member. Ideally, that would be someone who is highly proficient, musically sensitive, can solo when appropriate (comfortable with improvisation), can create parts for themselves, and can also add harmony vocals. Instrumentation could be lead guitar, or keyboards, or mandolin, or violin, or wind instruments, or a multi-instrumentalist, or ???

We would also love to find a sound person (mixer) we can work with on a regular basis.
