I've actually been outside the state of RI for a long while and I'm slowly starting to realize that I've never had any friends that I've been able to engage in this hobby with. I'm technically in a band but all the members live in Tulsa, Oklahoma and I think it would be nice to not have to venture roughly 900 miles west every time I wanted to do a gig or something. I'm looking to meet people regardless and anyone who play instruments casually would be a bonus. I figured that's a good way to enter into some social circles or something. I don't have too much gear and rarely get experience using it but I've accumulated a modest amount of stuff from keeping this hobby alive for 15-20 years.
Specifically with music, I create a lot of my own songs and I write/perform it out for my Tulsa group to perform at gigs that I can't often attend.
