We are a classic rock cover band that has been together since early 2012. Our name is the Leeds. It is a party/dance band that is geared towards a wide variety of venues, including private functions, corporate gigs, weddings, clubs, etc. The material we play is late 50's through the 70's. Buddy Holly, the Beatles, Stones, Kinks, Who, Animals, Lovin' Spoonful, Raspberries, Led Zeppelin, Bad Company, are just some of the acts we cover.
We have a very solid corps group that is interested in performing this fall/winter into next year. However, we're currently looking for a bassist/singer. Singing/harmonizing ability is required. Please note that this is a PROFESSIONAL group. We expect our members to PRACTICE, show up on time, be prepared, have a team-oriented attitude (which of course includes a willingness to compromise). The three most important things we look for out of any candidate are RELIABILITY, DEDICATION, and TALENT. Age is not a major issue, but we'd prefer you to be between 25-45 years old. A presentable image and appropriate gear for this music are also very important in this group.
When learning/arranging these songs, we emphasize the importance of vocals and harmony, authenticity (e.g. guitar tone, original guitar/bass parts., etc.), and playing the song with the kind of feel that does the music justice. Imagine playing and singing a great song that you've always loved (perhaps a song for which you love to sing lead), and the rest of the band is playing and singing the song with you the way it was originally done!...with the kind of passion, magic, and skill that can only be inspired by the great musicians of the era - Townsend, Clapton, McCartney, Davies, Entwistle, Bonham, Eric Burton, Neil Young, and the list goes on!

We currently rehearse on Monday nights in Stoughton, MA (rehearsal time is negotiable).
