ABOUT

After spending the past 2-3 years doing mostly studio recordings for a new album, and promoting my songs on the streaming services, I've been thinking about playing out live again.

I'd love to find a local percussionist/drummer (acoustic or electronic) who is up for anything low key, short sets, open mikes, etc.. I'm not into forming big bands anymore, too much of a hassle, but I've done a few solo performances here and there (accompanied by my gizmos), but I'm never crazy about bringing my mini-drum machine/loop to accompany me. It is fine for practicing and recording at home, but it limits the spontaneity when performing in front of people. Particularly since I often want to adjust the tempo and pattern between songs. Also, from an audience perspective I think it is more interesting to watch a live percussionist/drummer (perhaps I am biased).

The type of music that I would perform live is basically folk/pop or folktronica (since I will often play a synth pad with my big toe while I strum my midi guitar and sing).

You can find all of my multi-track studio polished stuff on Spotify, Apple, Amazon, etc., BUT when it comes to live versions of my songs, I will often play these songs differently.
