ABOUT

NOTE: the genre boxes above since it only allows 4 i picked my favorites, however, EVERY genre listed I can play some at an expert level, some high levels than others mid level.. I am an avid double bass drummer (as I started with double bass when I was 7 years old). As far as my look\stage presence, I am slim guy and have much longer hair now than in the pics.. Regarding that genre list above: I am very solid at: Metal, Alternative, Electronic, Hip-Hop, Classic Rock, southern rock, Blues, R&B, Cover, Tribute, Funk, Lounge, Progressive, Jazz, hip hop, punk.. i wold say medium on all other genres but i can learn any type of music...
I am a Remote (from home Electrical Engineer for a worldwide company by day) but my evenings and weekends are 98% free to rehearse or gig. Have a family but my family has ALWAYS supported my musicianship since the beginning and respect it and are all-in for me re-joining a band. i have not been in a band in several years but I always continue honing my skills on my large scale custom fully electronic Roland kit as well as an acoustic kit and would likely get another e-kit for the rehearsal location and use my large kit on stage. Some history... I was in some random local rock bands in Waco area years ago however, I have not been in a band since I started my Electronic Engineering career, however, I have continued honing my skills "every day" (i typically practice 2 hours every day - 7 days a week). See some of my favorite stuff to play below (however keep in mind I can play any style of drumming required - can also site read sheet music pretty well and can learn any song in any style very quickly - learn by ear the best). Just give me your set list or your own music and I can likely learn 95% of the entire songs in a week by memory (depending on the complexity of the pieces) or I can transcribe them the sheet music if needed. I can also add drums to any of your songs which you do not have drums on yet... If you are looking for a solid Rock drummer very solid timing (I always practice with a metronome or click track...hey since it is my job to keep the time for the entire band, i do not take that lightly) with all of his own equipment. I am your guy.. Hit me up anytime for an audition or meeting, whatever.. Music and drums have always been my #1 passion in life since about 7 years old. So I am committed and feel it is that time in my life to get in a good solid band with other good musicians. Text me on my cell anytime 254-315-7091 or call (leave vmail b/c i may not pick up strange numbers but i WILL call you back quickly - just say you found me on Bandmix). Hope to get in a band again as soon as possible! Thanks! -Lewis NOTE: about the below question in the profile "I am most available every night after 5pm and live in Lorena 76655 and on the weekend I am 95% available all night for Friday nights after 5pm, all day and night on Saturdays and all day Sundays (probably with like a midnight cutoff on a Sunday night due to my 8 to 5 day job).. *****Some other Drum related trivia about me.. I played 1st chair snare drum all through junior high and high school and claimed several all state 1st Division Snare drum solos with UIL in Austin,TX. I played percussion in the Waco Community Band and Waco Symphony, I also taught drums in my earlier years and had more than 15 students and attended the Commercial Music program at MCC for a couple semesters right after high school. I was also 1st chair in the snare drum line while in the US Air Force (although this was not my Air Force career field).. Thanks for your interest!

EQUIPMENT

Roland Full Electronic Kit - Very large with rack and with lots of my own custom additions and programming. Also have an Acoustic kit which honestly i do not really even use that much any more (because i can play my e-kit anytime I want without bothering anyone). I also have "some" PA equipment. I own all of my electronic drum sound reinforcement which would work for my own monitoring (on stage monitoring of the drums for the rest of the band on stage while the main output can easily be ran through the main board\PA system. In addition to the monitors, I own an active internally amplified 1100 Watt Alto Loud Speaker with a Tripod as well as one passive (no amp) stage monitor for anyone in the band to use.. I would love to post some pics of my setup if its allowed here, Or i can email it - My current email is [email protected] and [email protected] (which i am trying to move away from but they both work). Best way to get in touch with me quickly is by texting me directly on my cellphone at 254-315-7091 Don't hesitate to contact me anytime. Later, Lewis
