I had the privilege of participating in a Maryland high school big band which competed and eventually recorded an album. It has stood the test of time. We even opened for Count Basie at the Annapolis Naval Academy. In the 80’s I played in two big bands in New Hampshire. After retiring to Florida I have been active in 3 big bands and a combo. Have been an active wind controller player consistently since the 80’s.
