Well I play more than 3 types of music. I play what I or the other band members feel like playing at that point in time. I try not to limit myself to one genre cuz music is music...
I am going to be blunt with you, I am not the greatest musician by any means. I do not play other peoples crap. Yes I will play some chord progressions that have been re-used 1000 times but I try not to cover songs. If I do its purely for practice, I refuse to join a cover band.
I cannot work with musicians that are cocky and think they are the sh*t. I am open to criticism and always welcome lessons from further along musicians. I am not going to sit there and say I know 100 times until you vomit. If I meet one more guitarist that picks up an electric guitar and plays a bunch of heavy metal songs that they didn't write themselves but spent countless hours memorizing so that they could look cool, I will probably scream and rip my hair out... If you don't have the ability to create from yourself or at least try then don't even bother me. I am short on time these days.
I guess the most important thing of all would be that you drink/smoke. I like to just hang out drink and just shoot the sh*t about songs everyone has written and try to put some thing together. Have a good ol' time. I am not aspiring to be the next led zeppelin I just want to have a good time writing what we can.

A lot of people. Geddy lee eric clapton jimi paige ravi shankar george harrison paul mccartney and john lennon (sorry ringo I just don't play drums although your just as awesome) umm Oh I love janis joplin, I know a lot of people can't stand her voice but the power in it and her lyrics I love a lot. jim morison bob dylan. I can honestly just probably type peoples names all night and I haven't even covered my favorite blues musicians or 50's bands that I like. oh and can't forget bethoven haha.
EQUIPMENT
wurlitzer organ, classical nylon string acoustic, regular acoustic (both ibanez) and a keyboard.
