I'm a solid rhythm player with limited lead shills, seeking a band situation. I was recently in an occasionally gigging, cover band. I'm interested in getting to know other players in the area (i.e. networking). I enjoy a lot of different types of music, but my playing is basically rock. I'm quick at learning songs by ear, am dependable, and low-drama.

Influences
50's, 60's, 70's and 80's rock, heavy rock, country, folk, Irish, etc. I gravitate towards music based on the blues, although not exclusively. More recently I've acquired an appreciation for music with elements of funk.
I graduated high school in Southern California in 1982, and my taste in music mirrors that of my peers in the 70's and 80's: Aerosmith, The Who, Cheap Trick, AC/DC, UFO, Elton John, Queen, Styx, Scorpions, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Van Halen, Boston, Triumph, REO Speedwagon, Kansas, Rush, Dokken, Great White, Paul Gilbert, Badlands, Rainbow, Heart, Pat Benetar, Judas Priest, Foghat, Black Sabbath, early Def Leppard, Riot, Brian Setzer, James Taylor, Foreigner, Iron Maiden, Ted Nugent, The Beatles, John Denver, Fleetwood Mac, Gregg Rolie-era Journey, Yes, Night Ranger, etc.
I'm not very plugged-in to what's happening in music these days, but I enjoy Extreme, Neal Morse, Dorothy (a band), Halestorm, Red Dragon Cartel, Joyous Wolf, Joe Bonamassa, Neal Morse, Battle Beast, Dirty Honey, and Enter the Haggis.
This is just some of the stuff I like. I'm very open to playing other things.
