About
Figuring that it was time for a mid-life crisis, I bought a guitar and signed up for lessons on my fiftieth birthday. That was six years ago and I switched to bass two years in when our jam group formed. The group transformed several times, but played mostly rock and blues-rock. When our teacher had to quite, I stepped up to keep things going. This group jammed every Monday night and I also play most Friday nights with another group (when our lead guitarist is in town). Then the music store decided they couldn't do this any more. I have some basic music theory, can read tab, have a good grasp of the 12-bar form and have played in front of small audiences. I play mostly Blues and Blues-Rock. I'd be interested in playing these styles with a group, but also enjoy some Southern Rock, Folk, Bluegrass, Western, Country, R&B, Soul, Jazz or Country standards and I'm up for acoustic or electric play.
