Figuring that it was time for a mid-life crisis, I bought a guitar and signed up for lessons on my fiftieth birthday. That was four years ago and I switched to bass two years ago when our jam group formed. The group transformed several times, but played mostly rock and blues-rock. When our teacher had to quite, I stepped up to keep things going. This group jammed every Monday night and I also play most Friday nights with another group (when our lead guitarist is in town). Recently the music store that hosted the Monday night jams decided they couldn't do this any more. So, I'm looking for somewhere else to play. I have some basic music theory, can read tab, have a good grasp of 12-bar form and have played in front of small audiences. I play mostly Blues and Blues-Rock. I'd be interested in playing these styles with a group, but also R&B, Soul, Jazz or Country standards.
