With the recent death of our drummer, we feel it is time to continue on with our dream. Moving Atlas is a very serious project located in the Dallas/ Ft. Worth metroplex. Our sound has been described as progressive/alternative/hardrock with hints of metal, alot of melody and somewhat aggressive to say the least. We recently released our debut full length album, 'Et Al', which has been making some noise across the world. Our song "cheating mark" made it to number 1 on a Polish rock countdown called .activerock.pl and was on the charts for more than 30 weeks. "smooth as ivory tongue" , another song off of 'Et Al' has now been on the charts for over 20 weeks, peeking out at number 8. Keep in mind, these charts are graced with such bands as Tool, Incubus, 30 seconds to mars and so on. Over the last year Moving Atlas has performed over 80 shows and traveled all over Texas hooking up with Headliner Artist, a highly respected booking agency in the Southwestern region of the United States. Our future plans include recording a second album, touring consistantly, and finding new die hard listeners at every performance. We are looking for a drummer that is well rounded, over 18 but not over 30, a drug free non lush hard working individual. Our future possible auditions must have pro gear, must live within an hour of the metroplex to make practice twice a week, and must be willing to chip in on rehersal space rent if we are in the studio, or an emergency pops up which doesn't allow us to make money to pay rent.Please contact us if you feel you meet these requirments.
