ABOUT

I'm primarily a bassist. I do play some guitar, ukulele, keyboards although I wouldn't say I'm an expert at those instruments, I can get the job done. I've been playing for 46 years. I've had the opportunity to study with some great players. I still continue to learn. I love odd time signature music, progressive, world, etc. but I like a lot of the standards too, funk, motown, rock. I'll listen to most anything if it catches my ear. I'm looking to start a band or play with musicians to do original arrangements of cover music and write originals. I don't care what instruments you play (tin whistle) if it can fit to sound good/interesting, I say let's try it. I'm 61 yrs old, retired and I'm more into doing something creative than needing to make money at it. If a working band comes of it...all the better. If we just jam and have fun, cool. Age and gender is not an issue, oh and let's consider this a political safe space. After years of trying to do something that was gonna succeed, I just want to have some fun.

Influences

Progressive, funk, motown, rock, jazz, pop, etc , I like good songs and sounds more than being attracted and held by any one band. But if I need to list bands, Yes, Rush, Genesis, most of the 60s and 70s motown catalog, some classic rock, various pop songs from 50s through today, jazz fusion.

Members Of Band

There is only me right now putting this out to anyone who might want to try and start something creative.

EQUIPMENT

I've seen a guy play drums on home depot buckets and kitchen pots. He sounded incredible. I've played with guitarists who played on Squires and cigar box guitars and blew crowds away. Equipment is nice but secondary to creativity. I play on various Fender basses and a few mods of my own and Mark bass amps.
