I love all genres of music, and am a BIG fan of improvisation as far as live performances go. I am trying to get a band that wants to do this because they truly love making music and writing songs. Music is not the most important thing to me however as my own personal evolution and growth as a human being takes the top spot, and then music is closely behind that. So I would love to find some other musicians who are on that same path (ideally) Basically I want to make a living from making music, and I have more than enough talent musicianship and songwriting wise to make this a reality. I need to find a drummer who is flexible in life enough to really commit to making this work. Someone who would be willing to pick up and move somewhere else if need be, which might be the case. I already know a keyboard player and a bass player, although I am open about finding someone else for those spots. I make music of all variety, from funky rock, to acoustic bluegrassy type stuff, to reggae and world music, usually a mix of styles and genres but not always. I also am a big fan of the nice 3 minute band song and that like 90's alternative rock sound sorta like the Gin Blossoms but ya know BETTER. Everything and anything for real. Influences
Every and all genre of music, just the best parts of them all. Only exception is I don't play angry and pissed off music, I just don't have or care for that vibe at all. I am big into classic stuff like T Rex, Beatles, Zeppelin, Grateful Dead, Big Star, Bob Marley, CCR, Velvet Underground, Neil Young, Eric Clapton as far as newer groups go... My Morning Jacket, Galactic, Soulive, Dr Dog, Rosebuds, Raconteurs, Dandy Warhols, String Cheese Incident, John Brown's Body, North Mississippi Allstars, Guster, Gomez, Built to Spill, Nickel Creek, Yonder Mountain String Band, Yo La Tengo, M ward, Perpetual Groove, Phish, Bright Eyes, Ben Kweller, Avett Brothers, Smashing Pumpkins etc etc
EQUIPMENT
Right now my guitars got stolen so I am rocking out a borrowed first act guitar and amp! I still make it sound good (and should be getting new gear soon enough), and I can probably borrow equipment from some friends when needed.
