With a sound that combines elements of metal, grunge and progressive rock, Mind Your Head is a unique modern rock band based on intertwined guitar riffs, 5- string basslines, unorthodox drumbeats and melodic vocals. The band's songs are a collaborative effort from each member and combine influences without sounding derivative. The catalog contains everything from three-minute ballads to six- minute epics. Catchy enough to hook you on the first listen yet complex enough to enter uncharted musical territory, Mind Your Head's music is difference without dissonance. During its short existence, Mind Your Head has already played countless venues in the southeastern United States, including stops in Atlanta, Myrtle Beach and Fayetteville, NC. The band has received airtime from WUSC, Rock 93.5 and 93.3 The Planet, which are all SC radio stations, as well as coverage in The Free Times and The Gamecock, which are Columbia newspapers. MYH recorded an untitled four-song EP in March 2005, which they have since distributed more than 200 copies of. The band has since been back in the studio after winning the Rock 93.5 FM Locals Live competition to record an E.P. titled 'Daylight Turns To Night.' Mind Your Head has something for everyone. The music is as diverse as its members hometowns, which range from Jacksonville to Bridgewater, Nova Scotia. The stage show is as high-energy as the bands roadies after a few pots of coffee. Combined with top-notch musicianship and an unmatched work ethic, these things make Mind Your Head one of South Carolinas top club draws.
