ABOUT

Have played in many “just for fun” bands over the years. Enjoy classic rock, funk, country music, jazz/blues, but appreciate a wide variety of music. Have a 6yr old son, 4 yr old son, and a 1 year old daughter. Own a detached guest house that I have renovated and set up as a music studio for practice/jamming purposes.

Influences

Started out in early teen years trained by an original drummer for the Marshall Tucker Band and Allmon Brothers Band. Also played the oboe for the Carolina Youth Symphony and was a college scholarship student for playing the oboe. Had a brothers/friends rock cover band to play local gigs for birthdays, 4th of July, restaurants, etc. in Spartanburg, SC for several years. Played in college as part of a praise band for a mega church (~20k members). Influenced by many classic rock and roll and country artists in addition to my background in classical music.

Detached, private, sound insulated 500 square foot music studio. Roland VAD 506 electric drum set, Roland Octapad SPD-30, keyboard, several SM57 microphones, music stands, 12 channel mixer, Roland Aerophone AE-10, two EV 15” powered full range speakers, EV 18” subwoofer.
