A former 5-piece currently comprised of guitar, keys, bass and drums seeks a multi-instrumentalist with strong abilities on the keyboard, guitar, minor percussion, as well as a strong singing voice for back-up harmonies - other instruments, of course, are a major plus.
The band has been in existence for three years. We've released a 7" record on a local label, have just released a follow-up EP (which is currently receiving high praise from the bolgosphere), and have a song coming out on a compilation album of LA bands w/ the likes of No Age, Crystal Antlers and Geisha Girls. We've been playing gigs in and around LA for the two year at venues such as The Troubadour, Spaceland and Santa Monica Civic Center with bands such as Delta Spirit, Voxhaul Broadcast, We Barbarians, Gamblehouse and Superhumanoids. We are signed to a reputable licensing agency and have quality management and legal representation.

Influences
Some of the bands we're into: Wolf Parade (and offshoots thereof), Grizzly Bear, Animal Collective, The National, Beach House, Destroyer, Modest Mouse, Built to Spill, Stephen Malkmus, Elliott Smith, The Walkmen, Menomena, Islands, Neutral Milk Hotel and, of course, the old guys (Beatles, Pink Floyd, Brian Wilson, ELO, etc.). It would be wonderful if you appreciated some of that music as well. We're open to male or female applicants, though we are pretty dead-set on finding a team player with an agreeable personality, down for being in a band and all that entails. We will require some catching up on the part of the new member at the onset and a commitment to rehearsing twice a week on the eastside (Silverlake/Echo Park) once settled in.
