SEASWALLOW is the brainchild formed by guitarist/songwriter, NICHOLAS GALVANTE, residing in San Diego, California.
Previously a solo project from NICHOLAS in 1992 (who was in two bands during 1995-2001), it slowly began life as an actual rock band in 2005.

Nicholas had envisioned a rock band that wouldn't play by the rules. He wanted a band that wasn't afraid not to look cool. Of course, Nicholas was raised under the D.I.Y. Ethics of underground 1990's alternative and college rock... to an extent. From his experience in his old “indie” bands, Nicholas experienced a few problems.

“There was this factor I didn't like about being in a so-called 'indie' band. There was this Nazi-like attitude where you had to listen to this type of music, or hate certain bands. And I love The Smashing Pumpkins. They get so much crap from what I call hipsters and media. Which is unfair, because they are a band that works really hard. Even if you don't like certain elements, you respect the musicianship. And that's what great music is all about: good musicianship. Somewhere during the latter half of the '90's, people forgot how to make music. Most bands and artists were concern about being cool… That's what I want in SEASWALLOW. Just people making good music together regardless of their background, status, etc. etc.”

Listening to rock music was an interesting story as well. “When I grew up listening to Rock music. There was clearly some odd divide. I remember listening to Nirvana, Pearl Jam, The Smashing Pumpkins... I stayed up every Sunday watching 120 minutes. But for some strange reason, if you grew up listening to rock and you're a minority, you were teased or lambasted at. Especially in my neighborhood. I got so much crap for it... Now I see the phoniness in crappy rock music and the people who gave me crap for listening to rock music back in the day are now listening to that bad crap rock music that is polluting society. At least I was listening to and feeling something real.”

With all the unsure pop-cultural climate changes happening in society now, it is going to be one interesting ride for Nicholas Galvante and whoever else comes for the ride. With an upcoming album called, "Who Are You?" (Produced By Michael Kiner.) Nicholas is reaching out for your heart. "I purposely made this album to be 30 minutes long. And all I ask is for someone to sit down and get your attention for half an hour without touching your phone or self. I am very proud of this work and I hope you will come along for the ride!"
