Okan J La Fleur- (April 12, 1991) is a Dominican musical artist, singer-songwriter. La Fleur is recognized as one of the most skilled bassists of the Nature Isle of the World. His contribution to music, made him an island figure for the past 3 years. The 3rd child of 3, he debuted on the professional music scene as member of Lynx up Band in 2006, then Kross Vybez Band from 2008, and continues to show his excellence by also being in Blaklyte from 2011.

In his early years, La Fleur's love for music was obvious and he being a musician was also inevitable, coming from a family of musicians. He started off, from the influence of his father Michael "De Booplé" La Fleur, by playing the keyboard. His fathers teachings didn't create a powerful keyboardist, but a powerful musical nature and a powerful musical ear.
In 2004, La Fleur began to exercise his musical abilities in The Holy Spirit Chapel, Loubiere, by learning to play the guitar. Things were difficult then on a count of not having a guitar of his own. His Brother, André Elwin, saw his interest and bought him his first guitar. Self taught, Okan La Fleur began comfortably playing guitar in church; a church which already had two guitarists. Though Kyle Gordon and Eustace Victorine were great influences in La Fleur's music career, 3 guitars doing the same thing was just unnecessary. It was then that the keyboardist at the time, Trever "TeC" Christian suggested to Okan, "why don't you play bass?"
From then La Fleur began to practice playing bass on an electric rhythm guitar until he got his first bass to play on from Michael Pendenque.

Through stage performances, La Fleur's distinctive bass style have influenced numerous upcoming not only bassists by aspiring musicians on a whole.

Okan La Fleur continues to excel in his music career and never fails to echo the the attitude of "never giving up!"
