ABOUT

Very experienced, pro level player in myriad styles with lead and backup vocal skills. Excellent equipment and attitude. Not into chemicals or ego-trips. Moved to Portland the beginning of April and would like to get to work as soon as possible. I have most recently been performing as lead singer/bass player in two bands: Three Button Deluxe ( the Jump/Swing band I founded) and in a high-end 10-piece GB act that worked 50+ dates a season (in Maine that is from June through October), as well as playing occasional jazz gigs with the Uptown Rhythm Kings and writing my own acoustic material when time allows ... which isn't often enough!

Influences

So many ... but Jaco, Rocco and Jamerson are right up there, along with Family Man, Bootsy, Louis Johnson, John Paul Jones, Flea, the Ox and about a thousand others, not just bass players either ... I can get inspired listening to anybody from Zappa to Zamphir! I would love to work with a group into a Thievery Corporation type of vibe ... wait, is anybody doing that kind of thing live in the area?
