ABOUT

AWARD WINNER - Coffee Talk Jazz Radio Jazz Awards 2011
MUSICAL PREFERENCES/SHORT RESUME:

Hip modern nu-groove, contemporary jazz, nu-jazz...willing to explore anything tasty with a definite groove.
I prefer a phat, minimalist bottom with an occasional embellishment.
Right now I am love again with playing synth ensembles and/or string parts for heavily orchestrated contemporary jazz. I can read...I prefer chord charts for bass and concert for keyboard parts. I have spent much of 2009 in the recording studio as well as performing. I am definitely at home in a recording studio including punch-in overdubs, mixing and mastering. I have pro concert, festival and corporate gig experience. I have booked and produced and while I understand the business of music I would prefer to focus on musical development at this time and would love to work up arrangements and be willing to work with a musical director as an assistant. I prefer to join an established project, although open to anything that stirs the muse in me.
