I'm looking to start or join a band. I've been playing for years and I'm in my late 20's. Here's what I'm looking to do I want to start a band that combines heavy bad ass riffs (panntera, slipknot, tool), mostly clean vocals (metallica, stone sour, avenged sevenfold), big choruses minus the cheese (nirvana, sound garden, guns n' roses) and something (like 20%) melodic songs (muse, red hot chilli peppers w/out the funk). I'm looking to do something different. I love metal but I'm so bored by screaming it's cool here and there but I hate hearing the same mono tone screams. If you want create a new sound this is the band for you. I have about 20 songs and tons of riffs. I also love writing as a band.
So basically we'd need bass, drums, vocals, and probably another guitar player. Please don't take this the wrong way but if you haven't been in a band or played any shows probably not going to work out. Unless you're crazy talented and low drama. Age is isn't really a big issue but I'd like to keep it 21-30's. If there's a bigger gap it's hard to relate to each other. Let me know what you play, how long, where you live, etc.
