STONE MOUNTAIN SOUL-JAZZ COLLECTIVE rehearses in Stone Mountain Village. We have Real Books for about a thousand tunes, pro quality instruments, and musical training so we can transpose for a vocalist. We aim for what you may call “old school” bluesy jazz, as well as funky RnB. We play for pleasure and music is our focus, but we are glad to get paid; that’s more likely with a bassist. We aren’t purists and are open to trying different material, including any originals you want to do.
We are an easy-going, diverse group of good friends who are also good players with darn good instruments.
