A.O.V. ( Angels of Vice ) is an Oakland based rock band Angels of Vice looking for a Rock Drummer
Aiming to play nationally with a more universal sonic direction.
AOV are seasoned musicians with previous venues including The Great American Music Hall, The Roxy Theater, Viper Room, Pound SF, New Parish, and Bottom of the Hill. We have recorded a full length album, are part of "Occupy This Album" (artists on the album include Third Eye Blind, Crosby & Nash, Serj Tankian, Tom Morello, etc.), and recently filmed for KOFY TV20.
Requirements: Recent image; at least 2 demos, a vehicle; age 21-30; live locally; least has ideas in song writing / lyricist, and preferably a video of your stage presence (we’re energetic and move a lot, so you should be as well).
Of course, no drugs, no baggage, and an easy-going attitude are a must. AOV are family, and those who play together hang together – so check your ego at the door.
Finally, we practice 1-2 times a week in Oakland, in a studio we share (located the Oakland Music Complex). We understand if you gig with another band, but we expect AOV to be your primary band if you join. AOV already has new material and are working with a producer, but we want our new lead singer to be a large part of the creative process.
