ABOUT

Lost River Records Artist, J.R. released his long awaited 11th Album titled: "and to the Republic", released on November 20, 2009....

Born in the Midwest, J.R. was given his first guitar for his ninth birthday. Sitting in with local bands by the time he was thirteen and when he was fifteen he headed for Nashville where he recorded two songs he wrote, in the Webb Pierce / Faron Young studio just off of music row.

Thru the 70's & 80's he continued to play locally entertaining 100's of fans with a mix of 'Country, Classic Rock & Blues', while his catalog of original songs kept growing. Today there are over 1200 songs penned, with over 600 registered with BMI.

In 1997, after years of playing on the road in North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming, Utah, New Mexico, Montana & Kodiak Island, Alaska; he made the move to Nashville to further pursue his career. In the twelve years that followed he learned the In's & Out's of the Recording Studio, Producing Artists and Engineering, while becoming a seasoned Pro as a Studio Musician. Built two Recording Studio's (Sound Tech Studios & Fettish Records), and continued improving his skills as a Song Writer.

In 1999 he moved back to the Mid-West, continued writing and entertaining audiences. Signed with 'Lost River Records' based in Twin Falls, ID in 2007 and in March of 2008 he packed up his gear once again and moved to Idaho. Released his 1st CD on the Lost River Records label in 2007; 'Winds of Mackay' was the 10th CD of his career....
