I am a lead guitarist / electronic musician / vocalist looking to start an experimental psychedelic band along the lines of the influences listed below. I have experience creating electronic music, but I've recently returned to my first instrument, the electric guitar, and that is what I want to focus on. My best friend plays the theremin (Moog Theremini) and does spoken word abstract poetry. We're looking for others who can play keyboards, rhythm guitar, bass, or vocals.
The concept for the band is along the same lines as The Residents. Like them, we want to remain anonymous through the use of weird costumes and masks, combining the music with a bit of surrealism. We're not trying to be Residents clones, as we have plenty of other influences, but we'd like to explore similar ideas.
Also, I'm transgendered, so I hope you don't have a problem with that.
