Looking for guitarist to join band.
We started playing together back in 2017, first at the Briarcliff Manor Tree Streets Block Party and then performing over the years at events such as the Briarcliff Manor Educational Fund at the Pavilion in Law Park, the Briarcliff Manor Summer Pool Concert series and at the Briarcliff Manor Fire Department Annual Awards Dinner; I am a firefighter myself and our department always enjoyed our performances!
In April of 2020, at the height of COVID-19, we renamed ourselves "Six Feet Apart", and played in our neighborhood called the Tree Streets here in Briarcliff Manor. We had an audience of a couple hundred neighbors, all sitting 6 feet apart + masked + plenty of hand sanitizer, listening to our two sets, and once again feeling a sense of community, dancing to and listening to some great music.
In 2021, as the pandemic began to wind down in some respects, we renamed our band again to "Closer 2 Normal", and repeated the event, this time raising money for the Ossining Food Pantry. The event was a success, again attracting hundreds of Briarcliff neighbors and raising funds and food goods for a great cause.
In 2022 as we turned the corner on the pandemic we again renamed ourselves to "Quasi Normal" (noticing a trend here yet?), and started playing more expanded venue's including the Pleasantville Farmers Market, Scarsdale's Dine in the 'Dale Weekend Music Series, and the Briarcliff Manor Chamber Of Commerce Summer Concert Series among others.
In 2023, we performed at Lucy's Bar & Grill in Pleasantville, a local establishment dedicated to supporting up and coming bands like ours, at Law Park as part of the Briarcliff Summer Concert Series in front of a crowd that numbered in the hundreds, once again at the Pleasantville Farmer's Market and the Briarcliff Manor Pool to help close out the summer.
