Newport Way + Band in Olympia, WA

ABOUT

Newport Way, founded by Race Mahaffey and Bill Zdeb, who play various instruments, are in the process of trying to find musical freedom, mixing songs on Studio One with Presonus. We have spent the last two years hanging in there, working on this with all of our free time. One of us has a demanding regular job he would be willing to quit if we can bridge to music industry full time. The other has plenty of free time, travels a lot and spends usually thirty or more hours per week working on songs.

The group of us are trying to come up with something to get the whole business in gear someday and be set free, enjoy life and succeed without losing sight of what matters most. We are interested in music for the purpose of inspiring others. We are not going to quit.

EQUIPMENT

We have lots of computers, software, several sets of new mixing monitors, new and expensive, full length, weighted key, midi keyboard, as well as a backup, smaller keyboard, bass guitar, electric guitar, and can invest in more equipment as needed. What we really need to find is a good lyricist. We will include any instruments, hire anyone to play solos, whatever, to fill out the songs we want to produce.
