ABOUT

Lead singer, semi pro, going single after playing in many bands over the last 7 years. I am involved in a project of collecting some great accoustic songs that people will love, and remember some of the past, as well as the current influence. I would love to get in a band that needs a lead singer, rhythm guitarist, however I have found that in the final play, it never comes to being. Come so close but yet so far. Thus if you are in need of my talent please write me. Even if its for a friday night jam in your studio or mine. However for now I will enjoy playing the small bar venue, parties and most of all for my friends that have called me Ray Unleashed. contact me at racetrackray and lets have a chat, or call 845-561-9182. Leave your message as this phone is a land line full of telemarking people who call...lol

Influences

All the classic rock bands in the 60's and 70's. The Beatles and Neil Young were my idol's while learning how to play. I do believe in singnature licks and sound of these greats which is one thing I strive for. If I can't sound like them, then its not worth playing, but I am one who will never give up. Favorite bands are Beatles, Floyd, Neil, The Who, Alman Bros, Petty, The Stones, Nectar, Harrison, Lennon...the list can go on and on.
My song sheet book comprises around 300 songs of many artists. I have probably touched every classic rock song ever played. We maybe not every..lol

EQUIPMENT

Accoustic....Taylor 512ce, Gibson Hollow body electric. Sound. JBL Eon Series 15 g2...very impressive 400 watt built in amps. Makes my taylor sound great as well as the vocals. Yamaha Mg16 6f mixing board, and a world of mikes. Also have some very old fender towers. I love the warm sound they make when I am able to make it to my studio, which in the winter must use 10 gallons of fuel oil to heat up...lol.
