I am a senior but young in every aspect drummer. I've fronted my own successful big bands in the 1960s & 70s in New York and an ELP style rock trio in the 70s. Been playing 50 years and have the knowledge and chops to back it up. I'm retired now and seeking to form or join a NEW big band for the fun of it. Don't need the $$$. Technically I am a hard-driving player ala Rich or Krupa but can also play smooth jazz and brushwork. (Buddy was a personal acquaintance). I'm looking to hook up with players who dig jazz/big band, BLUES & classic rock and want to play for the fun of it. I have a nice collection of charts. Primarily interested in hooking up with older players but will consider younger dedicated, serious jazz players.
