I have been in a band called New Skool Kings for the past 13 years or so. We started out as a punk band in High School, got some good connections and toured with bands like Guttermouth, Agent Orange, and US Bombs. Played a show with MXPX in Costa Rica as well as Guttermouth the year before that and did our own headline show in Costa Rica the year before that following the filming and release of our first music video for our single "Authority". That song is still one of the songs played when fans disagree with a penalty call for our local hockey team, The Anaheim Ducks. We had two songs featured on a video game called "Wet" in 2011 and then went on a hiatus due to disagreements between band mates. Recently we have tried getting back together and it just not seem like it will work out because everyone's got something going on. Our drummer is married, has a kid on the way and is very busy with school. Our lead guitarist lives 70 miles away and has no interest in background vocals. We let our original singer go because he was holding us back from progressing. So basically I am looking for like minded people to join the band. Seeking a drummer, lead guitarist and a singer. We have a bass player and I am the rhythm guitarist of the band and current singer but I'd like to find someone with much more talent than me to sing. If anyone is interested in playing some of our old/new material and writing new songs please hit me up! We have a practice space and great connections for recording and producing by our good friend Keri Kelli. If we can get a handful of songs written and demo'd I can send them to him and we can start putting an album together. I would love to be on the road again doing what I love! I know there a people out there who share the same passion and dream.
