Commencing with piano decades ago. Singing in gospel choirs as a child and attended symphony orchestras seasonally each year growing up. Studied Jazz and Classical guitar at university in the 80s. Played in rock and fusion bands as a guitarist with literally 10s of thousands of hours jamming. Performed in US Navy Marching band at places like Qualcomm stadium. Became full time bass player in 1988. Performed as full time bassist around southeastern USA for years usually gigging 4 nights a week. About 10 yerars ago I studied Jazz and classical bass for a couple years to up my game a bit. Have been involved in many projects original and cover over the years from rock, jazz, R&B, funk, fusion. Though I may know a bit about music, I am largely an intuitive and feel oriented player.
My focus as a bass player is on the right thing that serves the music and ties it all together from percussion to vocal.
I can also sing (baritone) and play other instruments for special cases / where needed.
I could tour for the right situation.
