Played in the old days. Was the top player in the Bay Area, early/mid 60s and 70s. Used to gig six and seven nights a week (that is where a musician gets strong). Went to get in a two-man group with Ginger Baker - my playing has that energy.
I've been writing books for the last six years - so I'm just starting to play again.

Influences
My roots are playing with old school black musicians. I played R&B and club gigs. I have written in the classical guitar style - played with the Free Jazz rituals in Bolinas, Marin County in the 70s. I play lotsa sound in big chords, multiple parts with high energy. Lead is solid but fast. I can play nice if I have to. :-}
