Friendly musician (drums and guitar) located in northern NJ, looking for a somewhat/moderately serious band to get more performance experience.
Drums were my first instrument, beginning in high school and continuing seriously for about 10 years, while participating in three different bands. I consider myself as high intermediate skill level on a basic drumkit. I could be back at an advanced level in a few months time if need by the right group.
Recently, I began taking acoustic guitar lessons and plan on continuing into electric and jazz in the next few years. I am still only a beginner: I can play all standard major, minor, dom7, and maj7 chords well.
Currently, I perform weekly with my church as a drummer/percussionist and backup singer, a position I have held for 2+ years. I can read treble clef music sufficiently enough.
