ABOUT

Update, May 2023: starting May 19th I will be out of state for at least a month, so I won't be joining anyone that is looking to start soon, unfortunately. I would totally be interested in virtual collaborations though! I will have my computer and a mic, and I'm working on how I will have a guitar to use.

Singer-songwriter since childhood with a BA in music. I have about 40 years of experience singing on stage (if you count singing solos with my folks' band as a little girl), and my mom trained me up to be an excellent backup singer (I am great at finding harmonies on the fly), but I have a voice for singing lead, too. I play rhythm guitar, too, and can play chords on a piano or a simple line on a bass with practice. My voice is versatile, genera- and style-wise, with a large mezzo-soprano range that includes both alto and soprano registers, but when I play my own music, I tend to do more of an acoustic pop style.

I have no freaking clue how many gigs I've done so I guessed that it's maybe not more than 50. Could be wrong, especially if I count singing with my folks!

Influences

Almost everything, and my influences shift with my attention. I'll get back to this later with more specifics, but probably my biggest songwriting influences (that helped make me who I am) are the Beatles and hair bands. Teehee.

Beginning of May 2023: This week I'm listening to a lot of Tori Amos, Bright Eyes, and 30 Seconds to Mars.
