I come from a very musical family and have been performing music for a long time.

I am currently playing bass for my friends VIDA-The Electric Cowboys. I have uploaded our music for you to listen to if you like.

Please look them up! www.myspace.com/TheElectricCowboys

I've played bass since I was 11yrs. Playing styles ranging from Rock, Classic Rock, Country, Top-40 Country, Blues, Tejano, R&B to Hawaiian. I have also been fortunate and privilaged to play bass with some great musicians and made many friends whom I consider family.

I've enjoyed touring the US and Canada, and very happy to be back playing bass for a living. Some of the bands I've played with in the past include Renegade, Shadofaxx, Los Tejanos, Little Rock, Union Hill, The Mike Petty Band, The Burners, Diamond Simon and The Roughcuts, Roger Len Smith, Prentice James, Emin and The Emimators, Southern Tropics and a few others.

Touring experience. No drugs or other bad vices.

Currently looking for Mon, Tues, Wed work... day, happy hour, etc., paying gigs please.

About Vida-The Electric Cowboys...
Over the course of this extraordinary career, Vida, aka, The Electric Cowboys has received multiple awards in some of the country’s major music categories, including a top eight-7 million vote finish on CMT’s Music Madness Video Contest.

This charismatic group’s passion for music and performance continues to fuel a successful career built on a foundation of solid dedication, hard work, team-effort that comes directly from the heart. Everyone gives their 110%. And it is these efforts that allow Vida to continue to produce their brand of live performance to the thousands of fans that have come out to their concerts.

2001 marked a major milestone for this group as they accepted a very exciting and awesome invitation to tour with the Dixie Chicks on their “Fly” Tour. This was the first headlining tour for the Chicks which included opening acts Patty Griffin, Willie Nelson, Ricky Skaggs, Vida and Joe Ely. The Electric Cowboys have also enjoyed the privilege and opportunity of opening or sharing the stage with country music greats such as; Jo Dee Messina, Clay Walker, Toby Keith, SHeDAISY, Kevin Fowler and many other great country acts!

This down to earth band of brothers consists of:

Art Tijerina Lead Vocals/Sax
Jason Martinez Guitar/Vocals/Keyboards
Tim Villanueva Drums
Joel Vasquez Accordion/Acoustic Guitar/Vocals
Michael Molini Keyboards/Vocals
Roger Vasquez Bass/Vocals

Still, the hard work and dedication continued; months of long hours and working closely with J-Beck records producer, Carl Becker, Vida released their first Country album entitled: “Prisoner of the Honky Tonk”, an album that would become yet another successful endeavor in a budding career, and formally introducing their ability to seamlessly crossover to country music. Within three weeks of the release of this album, "Because I Love You", secured the #6 position as a Hit Single on Texas Radio 94.7, #4 on BNET Radio and #4 on USA Tejano, making a musical statement on both the Tejano and Country charts and attracting national media attention from Nashville’s Music Row, CD-TEX, and Italy’s finest, Planet Country. "…We are getting Reviews from all over the world. This proves once again that these boys are here for the long haul…” J-Beck Records Producer, Carl Becker.

Vida is a complex, unpredictable, ball of talent and energy. And now with nine bestselling albums in the industry they show no signs of slowing down. Recently their alter-ego, The Electric Cowboys, was declared one of CMT’s Music Madness’ finalists! A huge indication of what effect this group can have on an audience.

And now Grupo Vida/The Electric Cowboys will soon present two highly anticipated CD’s, “Heartaches and Highways”, and “Generations”!

4/07/09 Release Update: “GENERATIONS” featuring hit single “Amor A Primera Vista”!
