ABOUT

Wanting to launch a contemporary Christian band in the Salt Lake/Utah Valley area to glorify the Lord, and are seeking Christian musicians and singers who are like-minded. This will be a serious working band, and not a hobby or “jam band.”

Our music interests are along the lines of Tomlin, Baloche, Brewster, 3rd Day, Chapman, Hillsong, but there is a lot of other good Christian music that could be considered. In addition to "cover tunes," we also have an emphasis on original works. "Metal" styles would not fit in. Current personnel are seasoned musicians, have been playing contemporary Christian music for over 10 years, and also have been playing in their church's worship orchestras.

We envision that the band would play at local venues such as "guest" spots at churches, maybe help with new church openings, local Christian events or rallies, perhaps help raise money for missions or other worthy Christian ministries. Currently auditioning drummer (always hard to find), electric piano/organ, up to 2 more guitars, front singers (male and/or female). Other instruments could also be considered. We would have electric and acoustic sets. Others who write music would be an additional blessing.

Things that would be important for everyone:
** Be an evangelical Christian (not LDS), who is serious about their walk and relationship with God, and attends church regularly.
** Be of sufficient emotional and spiritual maturity that they have shed their "musician's ego," especially as we would be doing this for God, not us.
** Minimum age of 25 (current members range from 40 to 55).
** Stable families that are onboard with the idea of your participation in this project, and it should not take away from your responsibilities at home.
** Have your own equipment, and be a seasoned musician.
** And very important, be willing to put in the time for personal practice (this always turns out being more than you think it will be, but Psalm 33:3 says that we honor God by playing skillfully.) and group rehearsal.

Pray and then send an email if interested. Be sure and tell us about your interest in this project, musical background/style, etc. Also, please tell us about yourself regarding all of the points above (evangelical Christian, church attendance, emotional and spiritual maturity, age, stable family, musical skills, have equipment, time commitment). And please, serious replies from serious musicians only. Blessings!
