Looking for seasoned Christian musicians and singers to launch a contemporary Christian pop band in the Salt Lake/Utah Valley area. This will be a “working” band, not a hobby band.

Current personnel are all seasoned musicians who have been playing contemporary Christian music for over 10 years, and most play regularly in their church’s worship orchestra. Some write original Christian music. Music interests are along the line of Tomlin, Baloche, Chapman, Hillsong. Envision that the band will play at local venues such as "guest" spots at churches, help with new church openings, local Christian events and rallies, and raise money for missions.

Musicians needed are drummer, electric piano/organ, lead guitarist (plays both electric and acoustic), and 2 to 4 front singers (male and female). Other instruments also could be considered. Will have both electric and acoustic sets.

Things that would be important for everyone:
** Evangelical Christians, who are serious about their walk and relationship with God.
** Sufficient emotional and spiritual maturity that you have shed your "musician's ego," especially as we are doing this for God, not us.
** Probably good that nobody be younger than 30.
** Stable families that are onboard with the idea, and this should not take away from your responsibilities at home.
** Seasoned musicians, with your own equipment.
** And very important, be willing to put in the time for personal practice (this always turns out being more than you think it will be, but Psalm 33:3 says that we honor God by playing skillfully) and group rehearsal.
