My inner Toni Halliday seeking her Dean Garcia! Singer/Songwriter looking for a music partner/guitarist to help me with getting my small home-studio set back up and running again after a long hiatus and several moves. I'm honest. Know how to have fun without drugs/alcohol. Was in a rock band in the 90's but only had the chance to play a couple of small gigs before things fell apart due to conflicting musical interests. I want to get back into creating music with somebody who knows how to play guitar, because I play only by ear and consider myself a great melodist. Ideas for songs usually pop into my head out of nowhere and I'll often record the melodies/harmonies/vocals, then go back and work on the guitar, keyboard & drums. I always take time to develop & refine the lyrics and would love getting your ideas. I'm hoping to find that perfect fit -- somebody that would like to hang out with me, writing & recording songs and especially coming up with the lead guitar parts for our songs. If there is a way to make any money off our music, that would be the ultimate dream. Love all music genres. (Including country, metal, musicals, classical, rock-opera, punk, indie rock--I'm very open-minded). Appreciate musicians who are influenced by legendary rock bands and guitarists. I personally like to experiment anywhere in the realm of shoegaze/alternative/pop/rock/electronica genres and must have someone who is honestly seeking to create original music in a similar arena and build a good friendship. Maybe we can invent a "new sound"?I'm very passionate about creating the "wall of sound" with highly processed electric guitar and the aid of multiple plug-ins and/or other effects/pedals and keyboards, with sweet, swooney vocals interlaced throughout, driving rhythm and danceable beats.
