i've dabbled with the bass since 02 and i've taken serious lessons for the last 2 years. My teacher has been playing professionally for 40 years and tours the world; he has stressed learning all genres of music so i've been studying jazz, afro-cuban, blues and everything else i've been able to get my hands on. I'm not looking for a band specifically but if one develops i'm with it. i just want to play something awesome, whether anyone else hears it i don't care.

Influences
I grew up on rock n roll and metal but since i've taken lessons i've grown an appreciation for blues, jazz, classical and now afro-cuban. Ideally i just want to play something that makes people move, the one thing i haven't gotten into is country but i'll play it, whatever. what i've been listening to lately: joy division, velvet underground, alice in chains, soundgarden, stone temple pilots, charlie parker, thelonius monk, miles davis, wayne shorter, john coltrane, bach, rachmaninov, tchaikovsky, satie, rush, radiohead, rage against the machine, sausage, thrice, yes. always open for suggestions.

EQUIPMENT
Fender 5 string jazz, Michael Kelly Dragonfly 5 (acoustic), Epiphone A-style mandolin, 5-string p-j bass that i made and 4 string jazz fretless that i made. Ampeg BA115 combo amp and Ampeg HLF410 with a mesa m-pulse 600 bass amp. effects- boss chorus and big muff pi(distortion) in the market for flanger and phaser.
