School of Rock + Band in Coral Springs, FL

The Paul Green School of Rock Music is looking for instructors and subs for the Coral Springs location.

We are currently interviewing for Guitar, Bass, Drums, and Vocals. Multi-instrumentalists are highly encouraged to apply provided you meet the remainder of the criteria listed toward the bottom of this post.

The quick and dirty on us...

We are an after-school program which is open for lessons Mon-Thursday from 3-8:30 pm and for show rehearsals on Saturday from 9:30 am-4:30 pm.

Each student receives a weekly, 45-minute, one-on-one lesson with an instructor on their instrument of choice. The student also attends either a 90-minute, supervised group practice session (Rock School 101 students) OR a 3-hour rehearsal each week (Performance-based students) where they are cast in an actual show.

We are running 3 shows for the Fall/Winter Season:

Black Sabbath
The Rolling Stones
Women Who Rock

At the end of 4 months (12-14 weeks) of rehearsals the students will play the shows at real rock venues/clubs in front of hundreds of people. They make flyers, sell tickets, form street teams, etc.

Teachers and subs get paid between $12 and $20 per hour depending on experience. There are no room rental fees. We find the students for you and you never have to worry about billing. If your student doesn’t show up, you still get paid for your time. We offer a 2-lesson minimum which means if we book you only one student for a 45-minute lesson, you will actually get paid for 2 lessons.

The quick and dirty on you:

Currently GIGGING musicians ONLY - must be actively playing in a ROCK band in order to be considered. (a ROCK band... not Pop, or Jazz, or Fusion, or whatever... ROCK!!!)

Prior teaching experience is great but not mandatory. A fun, engaging personality is a must.

Preference will be given to musicians who can teach more than one instrument and/or vocals.

Must be able to pass a CRIMINAL background check.
