ABOUT

Seth White is a native to Houston Texas and is the son of professional drummer Rocky White. Rocky was Duke Ellington’s last drummer after Speedy Joe. Seth had the chance to travel all over the world while studying drums with his father. While on the road, Seth picked up many road modals and lessons on how to be a “musician” in today’s world. Seth has had the chance to live and study music in New York City for the last thirteen years. While in New York, he has had the chance to play with many great locals including, Mickey Bass, Tommy James with the Savion Glover production company, Patience Higgins and The Sugar Hill Band, Melvin Vines who was a trumpeter for Sun-Ra and many others. Seth has also had the opportunity to study at some great Jazz institutions including City College of New York, New York Jazz Academy and The Drum Collective. During his studies Seth honed his craft as a jazz drummer. Nonetheless, Seth is very versatile in many other musical genres. Now in Houston, Seth has played at Sullivan’s Steak house, TruLucks, Warehouse Live, Phoenicia and many others.
